I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I worked and then just hung out with friends and the hubby. And played on the computer, as usual lol. I've been sloooowly working on a collab with one of our wonderful Sunflowers at SUN. Sunflowers are our "designers in training" so to speak. Crystal was the one I was lucky enough to work with and we had a lot of fun. I've been so busy that it took me forever but she was a great sport about it lol. Anyway our kit is FINALLY in stores, along with other kits made by Sun Designers and Sunflowers. Here's a preview of ours:
Crystal picked the lovely colors and got the idea going and I just went with the flow. I really like how it turned out. :) Go grab it in the store by clicking here!!
Well the hubby and I found a place to live. I don't know if I mentioned this before? I've been so scattered lately... so much going on at once! It's a 2 bedroom, 2 bath duplex. It's got all tile throughout, good for the hubby's wheelchair since he always messes up carpet. The living room is rather large too, as well as the master bedroom. Justin's only thing he wanted was a large living room and I wanted the large bedroom so we're both happy now. We'll be taking our time moving over the next month. I'm NOT thrilled about packing but I love unpacking and decorating. I'm going to do some repainting as well and will probably do that next week before we move our stuff in. Other than that nothing new going on at home. Just busy busy busy working!!

Hello all! Hope you're having a wonderful Halloween so far! This is really one of my favorite holidays.. I especially love an excuse to eat more chocolate :) I'll be working tonight though, watching Zachary while his parents are at a party. Hi all!! Wow.. what a few days I have had...
Ok so I lived in Mississippi, which if you've been following my blog then you already know. If not then short history/reminder: I was born in Louisiana but grew up in Byram, MS. It's about 20 minutes from the capital, Jackson, and about 4 hours from the coast.
So in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina hit I was lucky enough to be 4 hours from the worst parts of it but still way too close!! We more or less had a hurricane party and sat outside drinking and watching the wind blow like crazy lol. Seriously, we were REALLY lucky. Justin and I lived in Ridgeland, MS at the time in some apartments. My parents (still in Byram) lost power for 2 weeks! My brother, who lives only a mile down the road from them, was without power for even longer. Ours however just flickered on and off a few times, the longest it stayed off was 5 minutes. Our roommate's dad is Mr. Turkey Leg (if you go to the fair you've seen the booth) and he was feeding the power company on our fair grounds so we had TONS of left over yummy food. Everything was closed because of the power outage so really without that food we wouldn't have had anything. So since we had power AND food and were apparently the only people anywhere close to us with power the police department came and ate at our apartment LOL. We knew one of them and he brought his friends along. The worst part was NO ONE had gas for the longest time. There were lines at the gas stations for miles and about 2 hours to actually get to the pump if you did get in line and by the time you did get to the pump they were out of gas. We again got lucky though. My dad has a construction company and needed gas because they had double the jobs from all of the hurricane damage. He drove to Louisiana and found some gas there and bought 300 gallons! So my mom brought Justin and I gas so we could get to work and such once power was back on everywhere. So yeah Katrina wasn't horrible for us but definitely a tradegy for most of the coast/south. So anyway we moved to Texas and never in a million years did I think I'd have to deal with hurricanes where we are.
First there's Gustav... they built it up so much here and made it sound like it was going to be like Katrina. Everyone here freaked out and prepared for the worst. Basically we had some rain and that was it. So when they started talking about Ike we kinda ignored it since they made such a big deal out of Gustav and nothing happened. Then I started watching the news and they said Ike was only a category 3 I think but apparently it was such a complex storm that they were expecting a lot from it. So again I'm more than 4 hours from where this storm is hitting so I'm not too worried. We watched the news all day Saturday and Galveston really got hit hard and Houston looks HORRIBLE. I feel so sorry for all of those people. By late Saturday afternoon we hadn't had anything but a little rain and were making plans to go out and do stuff lol. Then my lights start flickering. We are like wtf?! It's not even bad and the lights are going out?! After about 4 times of flashing off and back on the lights went off and we waited... waited... yeah no lights... My husband is a big baby and is like what am I going to do without tv?! I just grabbed a book and a flashlight and sat down lol. He started calling all of his friends and his dad to see if they had power. No one did. His friend Danny came over and we were just sitting in the dark talking. Then it sounded like the bottom fell out of the sky! It was so sudden and random spurts but the rain and wind just went crazy. Hurricane Ike was actually Tropical Storm Ike by the time it hit us. The center of it hit about 45 minutes from us and then turned and went above us so we got every side of it as is turned around us. It was actually worse than when Katrina went through Jackson as far as the wind and stuff goes. A few trees fell in our apartment complex, some are still leaning over buildings (not ours though) so I hope they cut them down before they fall. We went with Danny and his girlfriend and drove around town and it was pitch black everywhere. Trees were all over the roads and debris everywhere. We saw a few roofs and stuff missing from houses. I don't think we had any deaths here so that's great but there's plenty of damage.
Anyway there was nothing to do so Justin found one of his friends that did have power that was a little further out of town. We went over there and ate and they played video games. We just hung out there til about 1 a.m. or so. We came home, still no power. So we went to bed and Justin got up and went to work this morning. I slept pretty late but when I got up we had power. :)
I ended up going to watch Zachary (little boy I nanny for) because his parents still didn't have power and they wanted to get out of the house. They had a generator hooked up so they had a tv, fans, refrigerator, freezer, and a few lights working. Their stove is gas so that was working too. They ended up going to see a movie since they found a theater open. I was at their house for a few hours and just when I was getting ready to give Zach a bath their power came back on too.
So I guess they are doing a good job at getting all the power and stuff back on here. They said they are doing the center of town and businesses first then working their way into neighborhoods. Good thing we are in the center of town or we could be without power for a few more days. I hope they are working this quickly in Houston and stuff too so those people can get back home. I hope this is for hurricanes around here this year too. They seem to be following me everywhere I go lol!!
Because of my little hurricane experience I'm sooo behind on everything! I had so much stuff to get done too. I'm off work half the day tomorrow so I may be able to get some stuff done but I'm not sure. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have a new collab being released and a freebie to go with it so check back!

Hello all! I hope everyone has had a great beginning to their week. I've been super exhausted since starting work again! I have to say I have a great job so far though! The little boy I'm watching is such a sweetie.. lol most of the time. One minute he's hugging and being sweet and the next I'm his target with his fake gun... but that's a boy for ya! I guess I just need to get back in the routine of working though because just the few hours I work makes me sooo tired! Not to mention I've had a killer ear ache for 3 days now :( I'm going to the doctor in the morning if it still hurts when I wake up. Hopefully I'll be back in a normal routine soon though because I have so much going on scrapping wise and I can't wait to get it all finished :)
Which brings me to my new item in my store and a FREEBIE! My wonderful CT member, Rayisa, made some gorgeous quick pages using my Vibrant Spirit kit! They are in my store now and here's a preview:

Well I have a few more minutes to spare before I need to get to bed so I'm going to babble lol feel free to ignore ;) So the people I work for have this coffee/cappuccino maker. I couldn't remember the brand or anything so I started googling and found it. It makes one cup at a time, which would be great for Justin and I, and it can make coffee, espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, tea, hot chocolate, etc. I LOVE hot chocolate and I drink it like crazy when it starts getting cool. Justin loves coffee but it's really a waste to make a whole pot because he normally only has one cup and I don't drink it at all. He loves lattes and that kinda stuff too. So yeah I googled and found the machine it's a Tassimo Hot Beverage System. Now maybe I live in a little bubble but I've never heard of these things before. I mean I knew that they made one cup coffee makers and some that made tea too. I knew you could get espresso machines but I guess I've only seen the ones that are like $1000 because I never thought twice about buying one. This thing is just awesome though! I tried the hot chocolate while at work today and it was soooo good! It has these things called T discs that you just pop in and press the button and it reads the barcode off the disc and makes your drink. The barcodes tells it what all needs to be included and how much because like espressos are only 3 oz drinks while hot chocolate is more like 11 oz or so. It even has some lil milk things that don't have to stay cold and from what I've read most machines like this have powdered milk but this one is liquid and supposedly better. Anyway the best part is it's only like $200!! Best Buy sells it though so Justin gets it on discount and much cheaper. Pretty sure I'll own one in a week so after we both get paid. Ok sorry lol just had to share my excitement! I'm going to bed now... night!!!

Hiya everyone!! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend :) I've been keeping busy designing and spending time with Justin. Saturday night I babysat for the lady that interviewed me for the nanny position. I talked to her earlier and I got the job!!! I pick up the little boy tomorrow from school and will have my first official day as a nanny! Yay!!
Justin's little brother stayed with us for the weekend because Justin's dad was out of town. I think I've mentioned he's 13 and BAD lol... probably just a normal boy but I think he's bad. I was such a good child I think... well I know. I guess I never saw the point in a lot of things that others my age were doing. I'm not sure if it was a higher maturity level or just because I've never really been fond of most people lol but I just didn't hang out with that many people in school and the ones I did were just as good as me. So his brother tells me he made like 7 prank calls Saturday night while my husband and I were both gone working. I was like WTF? Why would you do that? His response... "because it's funny". I'm like No, no it's not... it's RETARDED! He said well it's just something that kids do. I said well do you have to do everything that your friends do? Just because they think it's cool I know you're smart enough to realize it's completely dumb! I'm sure he didn't want the lecture but seriously the kid is so smart and for the most part he's much more mature than the other kids his age but he just has brain farts or something sometimes?! I want kids more than anything in the world but I think my husband will have to deal with situations like that with our own kids lol I'm sure they don't need their mother telling them they are dumb.
Anyway.... the point of my post is to show off some AMAZING layouts that my CT and others have done with my new kit! I'm just in love with them!! Check em out...

Autumn Breeze & a Freebie!

I just finished up my new kit and I think it's my favorite that I've done! It's called Autumn Breeze and obviously based on the wonderful season, autumn/fall! I have yet to experience fall here in TX so I'm hoping it's just as great as MS. I've always LOVED fall... the colors, the weather, the upcoming holidays... it's just all so great! :) A/w, here's a preview of my kit... (it's clickable to my store)

I went for a job interview today :) It's to be a full time nanny for a 3 year old boy. He's absolutely adorable! When we lived in MS I kept telling Justin I wanted to go to school and get my degree in childhood education or something close to it. I wanted to open my own daycare and watch children all day. He always told me it was a horrible idea so I looked into being a nanny. Well in MS there's not much of a demand for it... everyone's too broke there to pay someone else to put their kids infront of a tv. Ok that sounds bad lol but there's not much else to do in MS so that's generally what people do with their kids. I've worked in a few daycares and that's what most of them did which really bothered me, hence why I didn't work in them very long. Anyway... after we moved to Longview I realized there was actually a demand for nannies and babysitters. So I put my profile up on a few websites that are made for finding nannies. I've sent emails to a few of the families but I heard back from this one lady last week. We scheduled to meet this morning. I got up pretty early today and got myself all cute and drove to their house. I stayed there about 2 hours just talking to the mom and playing with the little boy. She called to see if I could babysit for them Saturday night and asked for some references. She said she's going to call them and then talk it over with her husband. It sounds promising :) My husband is really excited for me since it's something that I've been wanting to do. And of course if I like my job then that puts me in a better mood when I get home from work and therefore makes his night much easier/better lol. So everyone wish me luck!!

Hiya everyone! I'm just dropping in real quick before I take a nap. I haven't been getting much sleep at all... too much to do and not enough time! I was up pretty late last night and I had to get up at 8 to make it to my hair appointment so I'm exhausted now. '
Things have been going great around here though! I've been looking for a job and I have an interview on Tuesday and I'm super excited about it. Just pray I get the job... if I do I'll tell you all more about it, but until then I won't bore you with the details. I finally got all of my stuff unpacked from moving a hundred times in a row (yeah a bit of an exaggeration but it really feels like I moved that much)! I spent the past few days doing nothing but cleaning our apartment and putting everything away. Finally last night and today I've been able to get some designing done... Yay! So I was just letting you all know I'm alive and should be back in the next couple of days with some new stuff and a freebie ;) Come see me soon!!!

So, the hubby and I took a spur of the moment trip to Shreveport, LA and went to the casino. We wanted to stay there but they were all booked up so we stayed at a near by hotel. We had a blast! We went to MS to get the rest of my stuff and stayed and hung out w/ friends and my family (mainly brother)... we had a really good time! Hello all! I'm just checking in so you know I haven't forgotten about you! :)
Justin and I worked everything out while I was visiting and decided I should move back home with him (Yay!) so Monday I got what I could in my car, which is just enough clothes for a week or so and all my bathroom stuff (yeah that took up most of the car lol), oh and my sweet puppy! We're going back soon to get everything else but it has to be when Justin has some time off work or when his friend is off so we can take his truck. Things are going great though! I haven't gone to look for a job yet but I have to next week :( I've really been enjoying being a stay at home wife lol. I've kept the house sooo clean and cooked every single night... so I hope he doesn't expect all of that when I get a job again. He probably will though... *sigh*.
Really I'm quite lucky because Justin has always been great about helping around the house. He can't take out the trash which sucks... Ok I have this mental image now so I'll let you all get a lil giggle out of it too. My husband is paralyzed, as I've mentioned before, so picture a guy in a wheelchair with a huge FULL trash bag in his lap, tie strings in his mouth, Yes I said IN HIS MOUTH, balancing the bag while trying to roll down a ramp to the huge trash bin outside... it's ok... I know you want to laugh lol I did! So after that experience I'm a nice lil wife and I take the trash out lol. He does do all of the laundry though because I HATE doing that! A/w, he really does help out but I've been spoiling him the past few days and doing everything.
I was thinking of looking for a nanny job.... I could take care of cute lil kids and straighten up around the house and get paid! Sounds good to me lol. Or because I do plan on going back to school as soon as I get accepted I was thinking of another restaurant job? I worked for the Darden company (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc) for almost 3 years so I might try that again. I'd have a nice vacation check coming up soon when I hit my 3 year mark and they have pretty good insurance :) Any ideas from anyone? LOL I'm pretty flexible when looking for a job.. I just don't like being bored! Yeah... I'm babbling now.... lol...
Anyway... that's all that's going on in my "real" life as of now. I am working on a collab with another designer that should be done pretty soon! I'm super excited about it and I'll tell you all more about it later (when I know more LOL)! For now I'm going to fix myself breakfast! Later!

Good news!!

I've such good news!! :) Tuesday night I drove to Texas to spend a day or so with my hubby. His birthday was today (well technically yesterday the 16th... it's 3:30 a.m. now lol) so he wanted me to come see him because he had Wednesday off work. Soo.. I got there around 9 p.m. Tuesday night and he got off work around 10. We hung out and watched a movie at the apt. I planned on spending all day Wed. with him then leaving on Thurs. to come back to MS. Things went so well I didn't come home until today (Saturday)! Everything was great and we talked and I'm going home, back to Texas to be with him, this upcoming week. We're waiting until his next day off so he can come get my stuff since it won't all fit in my car. Also he wants to see his best friend that still lives here, BJ. I'm soo glad! I thought we'd work things out eventually but I'm so glad it happened sooner than I thought. When I went he was thinking he still wanted some time to think or whatever he was doing while I was gone lol. After being together though he came to his senses ;) A/w, I didn't get any designing done while I was there so you can blame that all on him lol. I will be announcing my new kit later though. It's already in stores if you want to go check it out but I want to post about it and show off some of the layouts I've seen with it so far AND.... I've got a freebie to match it so come back and look for that later today. I'm about to head to bed though so I wake up a decent hour tomorrow :) Night all!!

New Stuff at Sun!!

So how is everyone doing? Fantabulous I hope! Yeah... that's a word now lol I stole it from my husband :) It's been a lazy day for me and I haven't gotten ANYTHING done. I stayed up all night, not really by choice but just couldn't sleep. I was planning to stay up all day so I could go to bed early tonight and get back on a normal sleep schedule but I fell asleep for a few hours earlier.
Something good did come of me not getting much sleep however. I have almost finished another kit! Yay!!
Here's a few snaps of it just for a lil teaser..
It should be completely finished in a day or so and in the store.. of course I'll let you know when that happens!

I failed...

Yeah, I failed once again as a blogger lol. Want my excuse this time? Hopefully you'll feel sorry for me and forgive me. :)

Well vacation was AMAZING!! We stayed in Franklin, TN with Justin's (my husband) grandparents Saturday and Sunday night. We had fun there and hung out with them and got caught up on family gossip lol. We left Monday for Pigeon Forge, which took about 3 hours. We got lost on the way because the lady told us once we took the exit to turn right at light #3 and go 9 miles and we'd be at our cabins. Well she forgot to mention that lights are actually NUMBERED there and she didn't mean the 3rd light, literally. So we took a detour but managed to find our way back. We made it to light #3 and went the correct way.. all the way up a mountain. It took awhile... the longest 9 miles seriously! Our cabin was wonderful though! Totally worth it! Our friends met us there, they were coming from their family in Kentucky so they took longer than we did so we had some alone time in the cabin ;) We stayed there until Friday morning and checked out. We spent all of Friday in town and then made our way home early Saturday morning (about 2 a.m.). We really had such a great time and I hope we get to go back next year.
So... the part that's kept me away... without getting into great detail my husband wanted some time to himself, more or less a separation. He told me this about 4 days after we got back from vacation. I gave him a week and after that's the only conclusion he could come to I came home to MS to stay with my parents. I've been here 2 weeks and HATE every second of it. My best friend is coming tonight though... she's in Starkville at vet school and has a week off. So I'm hoping this weekend will be better. I think I'll be going home to Texas next week and back to my normal self and schedule.
Good news is I don't have a job so after getting my external hard drive and all my designing stuff unpacked I was able to start on a kit or two. I'm hoping to finish one up this weekend and should have a lil freebie to go with it so check back!! :)

Hello all! I hope you haven't all abandoned me completely (even though I did you lol)! I've had such a time lately! My computer crashed on me :( but good news is I had ALMOST everything backed up. I've been without a computer, other than a crappy one to check my email on, until...... are you ready...?????
My AWESOME husband got me a new laptop for my birthday!!! I have been wanting one for months and months but never wanted to spend the money on it. My birthday is right around Father's Day so apparently he got a great deal on it, and he works at Best Buy so that helps lol. Soooo I'm back!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So to catch you up.... May was boring, nothing exciting lol. I went home for Mother's Day and saw my mom, brother, and grandparents. Justin's mom passed away the same year he had his accident that paralyzed him so his dad planted 3 of her favorite trees in his yard w/ stones, one for Justin, one for his brother, and one for me. He took pictures of it and I've gone to see it. It's super sweet and I'm sad I missed it since I was home. Other than that nothing happened. June was well... boring lol. I did turn the BIG 24... woohoo? I went home again for Father's Day and spent some time w/ my best friend, who had a short break from vet school. I spent most of Father's Day morning with my dad then went to my grandma's to see them and my mom again. I really miss everyone there :( I came home that Sunday and we took Justin's dad out to eat at Texas Roadhouse (DELICIOUS!). Then Wednesday (the 18th) was my birthday. I got my laptop on Father's Day actually because my husband is impatient. It took me awhile to get everything installed on it and I had to find Photoshop again but now I'm good to go! Since my birthday we haven't done much... just working a lot!
We are going on an awesome vacation on Saturday!! I can't wait! We never went on a honeymoon so this will be our first real vacation together other than a weekend visiting family and what not. We're going to Pigeon Forge, TN and staying in some cabins with Justin's best friend Danny and his g/f, Dayna. I'm off work Friday so I'll be doing laundry and stuff all week and then packing Friday. Saturday we're leaving and going to stay with Justin's grandma in Franklin until Monday morning. Then Monday morning we're leaving for Pigeon Forge and meeting Danny and Dayna there (they are in Kentucky right now seeing his family). Then we stay there until Friday morning and head back home and I've got the rest of the weekend to relax. :)
I guess that's it.. nothing real exciting happening around here. I'm working on some new kits and freebies but I don't have anything yet. Hopefully I'll have something for ya before I leave for vacation. I know I'm a horrible blogger and I keep leaving you all... bad me! I promise to try to post more and keep you updated and make lots of freebies! :) Well I'm out... later!

Where has all the time gone?! I wish someone could tell me... or I could find it stashed somewhere lol. Wow so much is going on and April is almost over! I do have some great news :) I'm a designer at Purple Paper Flowers now! YAY!!!!! I don't have as many products there yet b/c I'm still uploading but it's there! I'm sooo excited! The ladies there are so wonderful and so friendly :)
What else?! Oh yes, an excuse for my most recent absence from posting lol I've had a migraine for a week... can you believe that? Not a day, not two days, not even three... but seven freakin days! It was MISERABLE! After begging my husband to just please knock me out lol I decided I better try something different so I went and bought 3 different kinds of medicine and took them all. I know, probably not the safest thing to do but I was desperate and FINALLY it's gone! So I'm not sure which new medicine worked but something did the trick. So today is my first day I'm able to actually look at my computer without wanting to cry from pain. I've got so much to catch up on! I didn't want you all to think I was dead so here I am! it's 1 a.m. so I should probably go soon though. I hope to have a freebie for you in the next few days. This weekend I'm busting my butt and finishing up some designs I was working on before the ridiculous headache came so next week I should have some more stuff to share with you :) And pretty soon some VERY exciting news as well! Wow It seems like it's been forever since I've posted anything! I've been sooo busy! Of course I did the Sunshine Girls CT call. We had an amazing response! I'm sorry to those that didn't quite make it because of me closing the call early. I do want you to know that I'm still sorting through those "late" ones and will be offering some guest spots, so don't give up hope just yet! ;)

I've got a bunch of wonderful things going on right now and I can't wait to share the news with everyone :) But it must wait a little longer! Keep checking back though b/c you'll love it!

Oooh, I have to show off my layout lol. Monica will love me for posting it here. I'm on Monica's CT (mgl scraps) by the way (Squeeeeeeeeee!! <--just for her) Yesterday I downloaded one of her awesome Dreams in Colour collections from Elemental Scraps. I got "Potential" which is the black one. It's AWESOME! I already owned her Obsession kit and add ons too. A/w, so I was getting ready to make a layout for Monica and I couldn't find a picture I was satisfied with. My friend Sarah suggested "Scrap about me b/c you love me and I'm the coolest person ever..." LMFAO I think she was kidding but here it is lol
Both the kits are so easy to work with and so versatile!! Love them!

Ok, well it's not ready YET but I have some great news! You may have already read this on the other blogs [of the Sunshine Girls], but we're working on another HUGE MEGA FREEBIE COLLAB for ya! It's going to be for Easter and it's FABULOUS! So that's why I haven't had another freebie... I'm trying to get stuff ready for this kit which will be well worth the wait!

I'm also in the process of trying to switch my blog over to WordPress so if something seems off in the next few days then just bare with me :)

Nothing new going on here other than that, really. I'm all settled in and really enjoying Texas. I'm loving my job so far, it's very interesting and laid back. I love how close I am to everything, only 10 minutes or less to anything I need. Of course, Dallas and Shreveport aren't too far away if we want to go out and have a fun weekend or whatever. So all is well with the move!

Hi all! I know what you're thinking... I have internet and I'm STILL not around all the time, right? Well yesterday (and still today actually) I had the WORST migraine ever. I was having hot flashes and couldn't look at the computer for more than a few minutes at a time. Not fun at all! I feel a little better today so I'm going to try to get as much done as possible. Before I start all my work I had to share my new blinkie!!
I know it sounds crazy since I make them for everyone else but I can't make my own for anything. I asked the wonderful Sunshine Girls (from the freebie collabs) if they knew of anyone that could make me one and Monica's husband, Vasco, volunteered! How sweet of him!! :)

So I need everyone to go check out his blog, MoonScraps, and leave him some love! He just started scrapping and is doing a terrific job! :)

Can you tell I'm excited lol? My WONDERFUL husband called and talked them into coming yesterday to hook it up. We had some issues at first but had it going last night! They came by again today to try and work on our cable outlets b/c some are out. I'm having to use one that's kind of inconvenient but at least I have internet back! I've been having serious withdrawals and I have soooo much to catch up on. I don't even know where to start.
I know at least 2 challenges have been posted for the ADSR and I need to get started on those... I think one is due this weekend. My partner, Sarah, is probably ready to kill me b/c I haven't done the first one yet lol.
I'm catching up on blinkie orders, which WOW I had a lot of requests when I finally checked my email. I'm not complaining though.. I just hope everyone has a tiny bit of patience lol.
And my poor CT's... I have so many layouts to do it's not even funny! I hope they don't all fire me :(
I'm also working on some products to sell ;) and of course, FREEBIES! I know it's been forever since I've had any, well Valentine's Day, but that was entirely too long ago. So I'm going to try and whip something up for ya in the next few days.

Wow, where have I been?! Well I've decided moving officially sucks! We lived with Justin's dad for a week and I started my job last week. I've been so busy and haven't had time to get online at all. Then over the weekend we moved our stuff into our apartment, which still isn't finished. They are widening the door so Justin's wheelchair will fit through it (the bathroom door not the front door). So our master bath is a mess right now! They still have to put the frame/trim around the door and puddy the drywall and repaint and put a door knob on. They are working on it today while we're at work and tomorrow, so hopefully Tuesday they will be finished with that. We tried setting up an appointment to get our internet hooked up but they can't come yet :( They were closed Saturday and so we have to set it up today and hopefully they won't make me wait a week like they said at first. I'm having withdrawals already :( I'm sneaking on at work right now to check my mail and such and I'm going to try and reply to everyone at some point today but if you don't hear back from me then blame the internet people here lol. Anyway, just wanted to update you all and let you know we're getting all settled in :) Later!!!

I had to come back to Jackson last night to finish packing and getting stuff together and finish up some last minute errands before we move. I just have to say I'm soooo happy about all of the wonderful comments we've gotten on our Vday freebie!! The response has just been amazing :) Thank you everyone for your wonderful, sweet words! I'm glad I was able to get something out for all of you in the middle of my move and that you are all enjoying it.

I haven't had much design time since I've been packing and such. But last week before I left I tried to catch up on layouts for my CT's. I meant to show them off before... everyone has had such awesome kits and products coming out!!! You can click all of these for credits :)

Morning all, or shall I say afternoon! It's the weekend so I slept late... my favorite thing (other than Justin of course). I absolutely HATE waking up early. I know sleep is different for everyone but it seems to be therapeutic for me. There's nothing a little sleep can't heal... well almost lol. So yep the weekends are my time to stay up all night and sleep all day! Yes, I'm backwards. I keep telling myself to find a night job again.. Note to self: Look for night job once you move to Texas! Anyway, I have to vent for a few and then I'm off to design some fun things! ;)

First, my non venting section of the post: Thank you all soooo much for all of the comments you've left me! I read EVERY single one of them on my comments and on the actual downloads. It really makes my day to read them so thank you for the taking the time to leave them for me! I'm glad you're all enjoying my freebies!!

Second, venting portion lol: Ok, ever feel like EVERYTHING is falling apart? Yesterday was one of those days for me!! Work was rather quiet for the first few hours so I should have known something was coming. Then of course a job that we did, that I did specifications for, was ALL wrong. The state sent back a 2 page letter of everything that has to be fixed... know what needed to be fixed? The Specifications!! A lot of it was nitpicking but we had one major problem that I don't know how we're going to fix, not really my fault at all, but a problem. I feel bad for Cyndi (who is taking my place at work) b/c if we don't get it figured out before I move then she's stuck with fixing it. :( Well that was bad news but not enough to ruin my day, right?! So of course Justin calls with a million things that have gone wrong with us moving to Texas. I don't even know if I can get into it all or I'll get all stressed out. He doesn't understand why I get so stressed b/c he said it doesn't solve anything, just stresses him out too b/c I'm stressed lol. He's very laid back for the most part and well I'm just NOT about that sort of stuff. I can be laid back about A LOT, but when it comes to packing up my whole life and moving it to another state, leaving half of it behind (my family, friends, JOB!), then I want a very thought out plan that will WORK!
Bad news: Justin tried getting a loan to get something off our credit from 2004 (old apt. complex) and he was denied. His best friend was going to go get one but can't get off work. Well that means we can't pay the bill off, we can't get an apt. in Texas. He thinks this is no reason to stress? Second, the job he had well... they ran a background check and misdemeanor came up for driving with a suspended license, so they can't hire him for 90 days?! WTF?! For one I didn't know that was a misdemeanor! I also had NO clue he had that on his record. He got a bunch of tickets a few years ago and they suspended it. We paid all the fees and got it taken care of. He's gotten 2 jobs since then w/ background checks, nothing came up. So why now?! So.. that job is out. The lady felt AWFUL b/c they really wanted him to work there and it was just a suspended license. So she told him to come back in 90 days and she could get him through no matter what. After those 2 things I was ready to just come home and sleep the rest of the day away. Well then he adds that b/c of the stuff on our credit, even if we pay it off, the apt. complex wants another 300 bucks for a deposit and I already paid them 150!! At that point I just wanted to cry and then sleep the day away lol.
So ready for the small good news? Here goes: We can't get a loan by ourself b/c we screwed up our credit in our early, non married days. A year or so ago my dad helped me get a small loan for school and it will be paid off in 2 months. So I called my dad and asked him if he'd help me get another one for school (in Texas). He said yes but not right now. So I told him I needed it by March 15 and I'm going to push for getting it next week. He's sick and told me to talk to him later when he feels better but he'd help me get it. Awesome, so now if I can talk him into doing it next week I have money to pay off the bill and the extra deposit, but what about school? Well Justin got his disability set back up in Texas and within 2 months we're getting back payments and such and we'll get about 10 grand! So then I'll have money to pay off the loan my dad helps me get, pay for school, and still pay off our other bills and we'll be debt free, other than my car. So that made me feel better.. now I just really have to talk my dad into going next week to get the loan lol.
Did I mention I miss Justin sooooooo bad? I'm so not used to this and I feel so bad for the women that have to be away from their husbands like this often for military or whatever reason. It's just miserable!! Like when I stress out, normally he hugs me/holds me and I just feel better, cheesy I know, but he just has that effect on me. Of course I talked to him on the phone when I was worried yesterday and he made me feel better but it's just not the same. 2 more weeks before I can be with him all the time again :(
Oh and I can't forget... I have SUPER good news!! I'm not sure of all of the details yet but Texas has a mandate to offer infertility treatments under insurance. Which from what I've read so far it's usually bigger companies (50 employees or more) and they have to offer it and it covers IVF (usually one cycle). Justin said he thought the mandate to "offer" also only applied to those that NEED it in order to have children. I also read they have a petition for mandate to COVER which would mean all health insurances would have to cover it. Anyway, the place Justin wants to work (go back in 90 days job) and the one he'll probably work for until then both have over 50 employees. So anyone live in Texas and know ALL the details on this? If I can get insurance that will cover it OMG that would make EVERYTHING worth it to move there!
So did you make it this far? lol if so good for you b/c I don't know that I would have!! Ok I took way too much time spilling my guts. I feel better though ;) I'll be back later with some more fun stuff!

So I'm at work right now and soo tired! I definitely didn't get enough sleep last night but it was worth it to celebrate with my friend. When I get back Sunday I'm going to rest then Monday I have to start packing all of our stuff and start training someone to take my place at work :( I'm so upset about leaving my job... I think I've said this a hundred times but I really do love my job! But my good friend Cyndi interviewed for my spot and they really like her. We have 2 more coming back to talk to my boss Monday and then they will make a decision. I like Cyndi of course and one other girl and I think they would both catch on quickly so I guess whatever they decide will work. I have a few things to get done Saturday while in Texas (as far as designing goes) and then hopefully I'll get a freebie or two done between Saturday and Monday :) Anyway, I'm outtie!

I talked to my hubby today and well he's staying in Texas. My work is doing interviews for someone to take my place and then I have to train them for 2 weeks. I'm going to miss Justin so much so I definitely want to get as much time with him this weekend as I can. So if I'm MIA and there's no new freebies I'm sorry!!! Well just popping in to say hello! This week is going by so slow for me it's ridiculous! Justin has been in Texas since Saturday and I miss him so much. He has a job interview Thursday (the 17th) and is going to find out if he can come home for the next 2 weeks or if he needs to stay and start work already. I woke up today thinking it was Thursday for some reason... I got to work and realized it wasn't and was super disappointed b/c I was hoping he would call and say he could come home!! If he finds out he's staying then I'm heading to Texas for the weekend to see him and take him some more clothes and stuff since he only took enough for a few days. Anyway, I'm getting a cold and it's getting worse and worse by the minute! I slept pretty much all night after I got off work (from 6:30 til 10 lol). So I didn't get any layouts or freebies done :( I'm well rested so as long as I feel ok tomorrow then I should have some time to get SOMETHING done! I have had a lot more time for the computer since Justin has been gone so I guess that's one good thing... good for my CT's and readers waiting for freebies anyway lol. Well I'm going to hunt down some food and then go to bed AGAIN! Night!

Yesterday I found out something very exciting for me! I'm now on the ScrapMatters CT!! There's tons of talented ladies over there and I'm so happy to be able to scrap and show off their products! There's a challenge listed on the ScrapMatters blog. It's a blending challenge and I've never really done too much with blending so I gave it a whirl! Here's what I came up with...

And last but not least I made a layout using Kiki Halbert's Graphical Botanicals kit
It's a wonderful kit and has the greatest colors!!

I would love to say I had something to do with it lol All I did was ask for a non traditional wedding kit and she came out with this...I just LOOOOVE it and was so excited to get started! I plan on doing a few pages with it but this is one I did first, featuring myself of course lol

When will things slow down?!

So last week, maybe the week before.. I've been so busy I can't keep up with time lol.. I bought these AWESOME quick pages from Flergs and I've been dying to pop my pictures in them! Sad that it's taken me this long to be able to throw some pics in some already made pages huh?! But I'm MORE than happy with them! They are just perfect!! Here's one... :)

The colors are perfect for my wedding!! They also go great with my pics from my nights out with my girls :) I bought the kit as well but yeah... no time to play with it yet!

As for me and my life... We found a place to live!!! Yay!!! We found something at about 3 p.m. Monday afternoon. I was worried I would leave Texas and not have a place to live when we go back. It's a pretty nice apartment and after we get settled some more there we plan on looking for a house or something of the sort. I still don't have a job but I guess I can't get everything done in one day. I have to make a resume and start sending it places so maybe I'll have something by the time I go. Justin is actually going Monday without me and then I'll be going in about 3 weeks. He's going to stay with his dad until I get there. Him and his friend are coming to get me (kind of.. I'm still driving my car there lol) and our stuff (his friend has a trailer we can haul it on) and then I'll have to get there and unpack for days. So not having a job right off might not be so bad. Anyway... I'm really hoping to get some layouts and FREEBIES!! done while Justin is gone... it'll keep my mind off missing him! Sorry I haven't had anything for ya in a bit.. :(

Such a Slacker!!

OMG I haven't been on here in a week!! What's wrong with me?! I've had sooo much going on. Mainly getting ready to make a big move, from MS to Texas. I let my work know last week... and my family. They all took it better than I expected. I'm really upset about leaving my job :( I just LOVE it... it's an AWESOME job! I have the best boss and I work with the greatest people. Not to mention I get paid well and have some pretty good benefits. I'm going to miss all of them a lot so it was hard to tell them I'm leaving. My parents didn't flip out as I expected and my brother said he'd be cool (we live w/ him and pay him rent) and to do what we gotta do. So we came to Texas Friday as soon as I got off work. We got here kinda late so we just hung out. Then Saturday we spent all day looking for a place to live... found NOTHING. Mainly because nothing was open. Only one or two apt places were and no one that had duplexes were answering. Today we kinda chilled out and I looked online for jobs, Justin printed his resume, all that good stuff. Tomorrow we're waking up early to go look for a place to live and maybe a job for me if we have some time. Anyway, that's where I've been!! I'm hoping things calm down soon b/c I'm tired of being so TIRED lol I'm heading to bed since I have a long day tomorrow.. night!

Hiya! Just wanted to update everyone.... I left yesterday for Texas at about 5 p.m. and got here around 9:30 last night. I surprised Justin (and his little brother because he was ECSTATIC!) with Rock Band for the 360. Justin didn't understand why I was so adamant upon bringing that thing until he saw Rock Band in my trunk lol! They hooked it up and played for hours! Justin just left with his dad to go buy his little brother his own 360 and Rock Band to surprise him for Christmas. Justin gets a discount on them so he had to ride along. Anyone have children (or husband) with Rock Band? "clack, clack clack clack, clack, clack...." lol that's all I hear from the drums. Oh well at least they are having fun, right?! Anyway, Just wanted to let you know where I am and why I don't have any freebies :( I have the internet obviously and my photoshop with me (of course!!) so maybe when they are playing their video games I can get something done. I'm almost done with all of the Alphas for our kit too. Sorry these are taking so long... Holidays tend to get in the way of everything, huh?! I'll have them cut up, zipped, and uploaded in time for all of those beautiful Christmas layouts though! Nothing new going on with me! I'm working on a cute (at least I hope it's cute) lil boys kit! The holidays seem to be slowing everything down as far as designing goes. My mama did call me today to talk about Christmas. We normally go to Vicksburg to my grandparents house and have lunch. My dad hunts the entire holiday so he leaves the woods long enough to come eat with us and open presents. We go ahead and do our Christmas with my parents then too since we don't really go all out anymore. They think we're too old or something lol. Anyway, we usually eat lunch there, open presents, then Justin and I leave and head for Texas. We get to his dad's and hang out and wake up and do Christmas morning with his dad and little brother, eat lunch and then just hang around and drive back that night. It's a long trip but worth it to see his family. I know he loves getting to spend Christmas with Devin (his lil bro). Soo... since Christmas Eve falls on a Monday we wanted to leave early (Sat. or Sun.) and go to Texas to get in some extra time with them. I told my mom to ask my grandmother about it, if she would mind doing our thing in Vicksburg Saturday lunch instead. My grandmother apparently already made her mind up that she's doing lunch on Christmas Day this year whether anyone is there or not. Needless to say, we WON'T be there because we'll be in Texas as we are every year. My dad isn't going to be there because he made plans to go hunting in Texas and said he's not driving that far on Christmas Day. I doubt my brother goes if I won't be there. So it's just going to be my mom. My grandmother said it's because she's tired of being alone (my grandfather is still alive... so she's never REALLY alone) on Christmas Day... a lot of good that does when no one will be there now because we had planned around NOT doing it Christmas Day. Besides, I'm not making Justin give up Christmas Day with Devin. I just babbled on a lot, didn't I?! Oh well.. it frustrates me. All that so she won't be lonely and now she won't even see us for Christmas at all. Ok I'm done now lol... Enjoy the freebie! EXTRA! We had a few requests for the alpha used on our teaser bags.. the one "Whimsical Wonderland" was written in. Monica was the one that created that for us and she was nice enough to create an alpha for you... she actually did one in every color. The font is Beyond Wonderland and she used Flergs glitter to make it. We are trying to get them all packaged up for you but here's the first one that Ellie finished up. I'm so excited!! I've been wanting one of this chicks that I see on some scrap sets (for packaging/logos). They are just TOO cute! So the lovely Ellie Lash of Sugar Snap Scraps mentioned she was thinking about selling some like the one she uses! I'm privileged enough to be one of the first (Maybe the First?) to get one of her beautiful chicks! She just sent it to me and I'm so happy!!! This was packaged with it and it shows both her chick and the one she just made for me (the blond of course lol). I put the sample over it as I'm not sure how she feels about it just being posted for all.
Isn't she the cutest thing ever?! Hopefully Ellie will start selling these soon for everyone (hint hint, Ellie) because I know a bunch of women will just love em and want one! Ok well I have blinkies to make and a husband to feed... later!!

Someone posted that the people who say negative things just need to be prayed for. I think they are probably right. We all have bad days... I had a bad week so I know. I'm just going to hope those people realize they were being a sour puss, send them happy thoughts, and move on! :)

I'm feeling much better today than I have lately. My mom came home today from her cruise. I stopped by and saw her for a few minutes. She had her hair braided in Mexico in those tiny tiny braids with beads, all over her head... it's so funny! I never thought my mom would do that! My dad hasn't seen yet but I'm sure he'll be shocked! She told me she got me a shotglass from everywhere she visited, except Mexico because I went in August and got one there myself. I collect shot glasses by the way. I have well over 100 of them and have never drank out of them lol. I'm not sure why I like them... they're just pretty I guess. Anyway, after that I went and got Justin and I McAlister's for dinner. It was YUMMY!!!

And... I have another small freebie for you. It's just some papers. I was playing with colors and liked these but couldn't think of anything to go with them for a small kit so it's just some paper.

Nothing else going on around here... I'm dreading going to work tomorrow! I'm just fed up with the 8 to 5 job. I want something unpredictable again like restaurants. Not much longer though and we'll be moving to Texas so I won't be dealing with it anymore. I really do have a GREAT job. I have a wonderful boss and I like everyone I work with, well for the most part lol. My boss is very understanding about personal things. We don't have a set amount of sick time... it's just kind of like do what you have to but don't take advantage of it, which is nice. He lets us leave during the day to do things that you can't do at night like get license, meds, doctors visits, etc. So I'm going to miss all of that. If only he'd let me work at night or switch my days up or something... guess that wouldn't do an architect much good, huh? Oh well. I have Texas to look forward to!

Overall I'm happy with it. There's some things I'd like to improve upon but it's my first full "kit" so there's a lot to learn!! Oh and I realized afterwards that I didn't rename the files like I should have... I don't have the time to go back and change it now but I probably will sometime tonight :) I was working on another freebie for you last night and Photoshop was apparently mad at me and closed down so I gave up for the night but I'll be finishing it up later too!

I've had the pleasure of joining Bobbie M's CT! You can check out her store here. She's got some great stuff! I made my first LO today for her...
Everything is Bobbie's except the safety pin (atomic cupcake) and tag (Kiki Halbert). Most of it came from Bobbie's Butterfly Dreams kit. I HAD to use it because of the name of the kit... ButterflyDreams is my s/n most places and has been for a long time. :) The stitches are her Colored Stitches, Curly ribbon came from her Birthday Bash kit, other ribbons came from her Messy Ribbons (CU ok), and the doodles are also hers but aren't available in the store anymore.
Anyway, I'm planning on scrapping most of our engagement pics and then wedding. You should be seeing a lot of my husband and I lol. I'm about to start on another LO and then I'm going to cook dinner (Yay.... so much fun!) I'm outtie!

confused, angry,... just a few things I'm feeling right now... It was brought to my attention that we had a slightly negative comment left on one of the blogs participating in the Whimsical Wonderland kit. It says, "Thanks for the awesome freebies... But may I say, its almost more headache then its worth, some times you girls don't post your freebie on time, some people have limited PC time and to keep going back to see if she finally posted gets a wee annoying..Then one blog says go here and nope its some where else. More headaches... But thanks for the efforts. Happy Holidays!!"
Normally I let things roll off my sleeves. I know you can never please everyone with every thing you do. I've learned this through many things and mainly from making signatures for people on various sites over the past year. Everyone may love it but the person you're making it for may hate it. We all have different tastes and that's one thing that makes us all so interesting. But that comment really bothers me for several reasons...
More headache than it's worth? Then don't download it. No one is forcing you to. Kind of like forums that you don't like what is being said, don't read it.
We don't post our freebies on time? How can you put a time on this? Make note that the girls helping with this kit are in different times zones, completely different time zones. We have me in Central time, a few in Eastern, Flergs in Australia which puts her about 15-17 hours ahead of all of us, etc. So I'm not sure how we can be late... we are posting when we have time as we all have lives and like I said are in different time zones so it's impossible to get us all online at the same time to post everything at the same time everyday.
You have limited PC time? Well great! We've made this easy for you... all links are permanent so come back and download them whenever YOU have time.
One blog linked to the wrong blog for the next day? Oops, we're human... we make mistakes and we're sorry.

Also, let me point out that we all have husbands, children, jobs outside of being on the computer, families, pets, hobbies other than scrapbooking, etc etc. This is fun for us and that's why we made the kit. We do it when we have EXTRA time so I'm just baffled by that comment and the negativity. If it's such a headache then why bother. Like I said, I normally don't let this stuff bother me(I'm also very open and will speak my mind whenever if you haven't noticed), especially with things I design b/c I make them for ME! It's my creative outlet and I enjoy it. So if I design something someone else wants to use then that makes it even better for me, if not then I'm still happy. I'm just one of those that thinks don't like it, don't do it.

Sorry for my vent. I just don't understand people sometimes. All of the positive comments have been wonderful though! I did get an email with someone having some issues opening the files from all of the days and they were able to open one of mine. I'm not sure what the problem is but I have asked the other girls. I do not run Vista because it limits a lot of your programs so I'm no help when it comes to it. Hopefully we'll be able to help you soon though!

I feel like such a slacker... I still don't have anymore of my strawberry kit zipped up. I was exhausted last night and didn't get around to it. Today I was really tired all day and then my best friend, Erin, called and said that my ex b/f Kris was killed in a car accident this morning (Tuesday morning since it's after midnight this post will show as Wed.). We have been broken up for years but it's still such a shock and has hit me harder than I expected. I guess because he was my first love and well a lot of firsts for me. We broke up in 2003 so almost 5 years ago... I started dating Justin and Kris got married and had a little boy who is now almost 2 years old. I can't imagine how his wife feels. Their poor baby has no idea what is going on... I hate that for him, for them. :( Anyway, since hearing that I haven't felt like doing much at all. I was online for awhile tonight but not doing much of anything. I didn't do anything productive at all. Erin is driving down from Starkville to make it to the funeral. Visitation is tomorrow at 5 and if Erin is back in time I'm going to go to that with her. If not, then I'll just go to the funeral, which is Thursday. I really don't want to go alone. I can't stop thinking about how his wife must feel... it just breaks my heart. It's definitely a reminder that life is short and we should cherish every moment!! Well I meant to go to bed 2 hours ago so I think I'm really going to do that now. Sorry for the downer :(

I made my first LO for Kiki Halbert!! It's made with Craft Basket Finds

Everything came from her kit except the "love" I made myself :) The font "2006" is in is Pea Sara. It's such an amazing kit and there's so much to work with!! Here's a preview of it..

I think Flergs has her part of the freebie kit up already!! We've had such a great response and can't wait to get the rest of it out! I still need to package my part and get it ready to go. I believe my day is next Saturday!! I have a bit of time but I don't want to procrastinate lol.

Nothing new going on in my world. The weekend went by way too fast! I'm ready for Christmas now so I can have an extra long weekend away from work and get to see all of our family. My mom left today for a 8 day cruise. I have to go check on her dog some because it's hunting season and Daddy stays gone for the most part at deer camp. Wow, how country does that make me sound?! LOL I'm not that bad... Just my family! Anyway, I need to go finish up some projects and make sure I have clothes to wear to work tomorrow! I'm Outtie!!

I have had a busy past few days so sorry I've been slacking! We are finishing up the last few details of the huge freebie collab kit and it should be released sometime this weekend!! I'll have more on that once we get the details ironed out. I've been making holiday cards like crazy. I have 3 more to make tomorrow. One I'm doing for my best friend so it's a freebie for her but the other two are paid! I don't make much off of them but it adds up so I'm not complaining :) Her mom is getting some and paying me... I'm also ordering her prints for her which will be a first. I've always just done the design and let them handle the printing. I figured if I'm going to start offering printing services I might as well start with someone I know that lives around me in case something goes wrong, ya know?! I'm hoping it all goes smoothly though and I can get that part of my card business figured out. Maybe by this time next year I can offer some templates to photographers in my area for them to offer after their holiday shoots?!

Ooh, GREAT news! I'm a Guest CT for Kiki Halbert at scrapbook-elements.com. I'll be a guest with her for Dec, Jan, and Feb.!! I should have my first layout for her this weekend! I already have the kit I'm going to use and I'm super excited about it!!

Well I have a few more things to do before I head to bed. I'm sooo glad tomorrow is Friday! I get paid and I'm either buying (straight from a local store) or ordering some more RAM for my computer! I've been working on a strawberry kit for a few days. It's not the greatest but it's my first so I'm happy to have completed one. I've decided to give it away in parts. Make sure you check back each day to get a new part of it. Starting later today because I haven't uploaded it yet lol. So check back b/c I'll have it up for you ASAP! :)

Today(actually yesterday b/c it's 12:30 a.m.) was a busy, busy day! I went to work of course and it was kind of slow there. I went to Office Depot and got some stuff for the office. I stopped by Red Lobster (where I used to work for 3 years) and saw some friends that still work there. I miss all of the people but I don't miss the job! The hours were nice... I love crazy, unpredictable schedules/hours. I'm kind of burnt out on my 8-5 job right now. I LOVE it... it's a wonderful job but it gets old, ya know?! Serving at Red Lobster was always different. Sure it was the same people working there for the most part but every table was different, GREAT tips most of the time, my hours were ALWAYS different,... it was stressful but I guess I like the pressure? I think after we move I might go back to a restaurant job for a little while... maybe lol. Anyway, after seeing them I went back to work and it was DEAD the rest of the afternoon. I came home and did FOUR holiday cards! I have 2 more to do...maybe 3. I need to figure out when we are taking our pictures so I can do our cards too. Oooh, and Grey's Anatomy comes on... can't forget that!

Anyway.... I'm outtie for a bit! I'll be back later to post part of the kit! Peace lol!

This won't be very long b/c its 2 a.m. I should have gone to sleep awhile ago since I have to work tomorrow... damn insomnia! Sorry, still no freebie! I'm slacking huh... I was on a roll lol! I've had about 5 holiday card requests in the past 2 days so I've been trying to get those out! I got 2 finished earlier and I'm in the process of finishing another now. Good thing is now if I need something scrapbookish for my cards I don't need to go buy a commercial license for a set, I can just make the paper and elements myself! I haven't needed to yet but it's nice to know I can, right?!

A/w, hopefully tomorrow I can finish this freebie I've been trying to get out. Tonight was also my spend time with my husband night, well one of them! He has to work tomorrow night which will give me plenty of time to do some more designing. Plus my computer is being nice again.. for now! ;)

I think this upcoming weekend we are finally taking pics for our own Christmas cards! A friend is taking them for us and I'm going to edit them and then make the cards myself. Last year I bought some from some templates and well... I'm so glad I've discovered Photoshop since then!!

I think I'll attempt to sleep a little... night!!

I have another layout for Nicole at Sugarplum Paperie! Our CT has been very busy.. Nicole is in the process of moving so I'm sure she'll be quite happy to come back to all of the layouts that have been created.

Everything is from her Icing on the Cake kit, just recolored some of it! I did the "I need you" part with Times New Roman font and just some beveling. The small font is Pea Sara. :)

I was working on another freebie but my computer is not agreeing with me so I don't know if I'll finish it tonight. :( I'm going next week after I get paid to get some more RAM so this thing will run a little better. Well... the hubby is hungry, gotta go!

I hope you all can get some use out of it! I've been trying to decide how I want to do my packaging. As you can tell right now it's just plain. I think I want something simple but not THAT simple. I'll figure it out one day.

Yesterday I had a HORRIBLE migraine all day. I played bingo on DSP and couldn't even finish.. I had to stop staring at the monitor and go to sleep. I woke up and it's gone but I can feel it coming back again. :( I managed to make another LO for Nicole at SugarplumPaperie.com.

It features my brothers: Carl and Jason. Carl is the one in the first picture and he really is wonderful. Justin and I live with him right now, and have for almost a year. He lived with us for about 9 months before that. He's 28, 5 years older than me, and we have always been extremely close. I think the age difference plays a part in it. In the second picture, from my wedding, is both of them. Jason is 32 and has 2 wonderful little boys (I say little but they are like 10 and 12 now). He's currently serving in Iraq right now as a military police. He's always there for me so I hate that I can't do more for him while he's over there.

Anyway.... lol about the LO... everything is from Nicole except the wordart and the ribbon, which I made both of those. The background paper, flowers, paper clip, and brads are from Icing on the Cake; the overlay on the paper is Dirty Overlay, one of her freebies; the frames, staples, and torn paper are from her Confetti and Candy kit.

Well I guess that's it for now. I'm going to get some food.. Yummm Wendy's... and then work on my kit some more.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! I got to sleep late which was GREAT! My mom cooked a delicious lunch for my dad, my brother, my husband, and I. We went over there around 12:30, she's only a mile down the road so it was a quick trip which gave me extra sleep time lol. It was nice but it was the first Thanksgiving w/o my grandparents... they decided to go on vacation this year. I guess they deserve it though. My grandmother normally cooks everything by herself so I'm sure it was a nice break for them to get away and not have to worry about catering to everyone. My mom did an excellent job by herself and it was all absolutely wonderful!! We had lots of leftovers so we got to bring most of it home b/c my dad said he couldn't eat it all lol. He'll be hunting a lot this weekend and won't be around much anyway. Is it sad that I'm already looking forward to dinner time so I can eat it all again?

Well I have some very exciting news! I'm on a CT now!!! Nicole from Sugarplum Paperie had a CT call last week and I emailed her with my information and layouts. She told me Monday I was chosen but she hadn't announced it on her blog yet so I didn't want to spoil the fun for her! I've already made one layout for her but it's been so crazy with the holidays that I haven't had time to do another. Here's the first one...

Everything was made with Nicole's Icing on the Cake kit with the exception of the glitter dots/swirls, which were made with a basic brush and Flergs' glitter style, and the stitches which are from Kay Miller. The kit was so much fun and has so many options!!

Well I'm off to create some more fun things! I don't know if I'll have another freebie before the night is over but I'll try and get one out for tomorrow at least ;)

Night Owl

Yep it's 1:08 a.m. and I'm still awake! Are you seeing a trend here? I've suffered from insomnia for years and have kind of gotten used to it at this point. I'm exhausted all day long and get home and I'm wide awake and ready to do stuff (other than cooking and cleaning which I hate lol). I'm going to force myself to sleep soon though because I'm ready for tomorrow! It's Thanksgiving at my office tomorrow. We decided on a small brunch since the only day that worked out for all of us was Wed. and they didn't want two big meals in a row (Wed. in office and Thurs. w/ family) so we are eating a little something at 10 or so. I'm taking orange juice and jelly/jam. We are having a very small smoked turkey, biscuits, fruit, and maybe a breakfast casserole. It should be delicious!! Then I'll probably be MIA most of Thursday with family. I'm hoping I'll get Friday off work and I can spend the day creating fun things! As of right now the office is open and I'm supposed to be there but 4 out of 7 employees are planning on not being there so maybe they will just tell me to go home or not to come at all?! I can dream, right?

It's been such a long day! Work seemed to last forever... I was soo tired and just wanted to take a nap all day. I made a new page for my scrapbook tonight. I'm very excited about it! The first picture is one of my favorites... a closeup of us holding hands while Justin's dad sang "When I Said I Do" right after our vows. The second is of my yummy wedding cake! The kit is a freebie from AmelieScrap. I used a glitter style from Flergs on one of the elements. It's awesome!!! I just clicked the button and bam! I had glitter! You should definitely go check out her store and watch for her glitter (it will be listed soon!)
Well the freebie kit is coming along great! It's going to be HUGE and we're going to have so much awesome stuff in it! Definitely keep checking back for it, it will be available on all of our blogs so you'll have plenty of places to get it. Oh, I ended up eating Olive Garden with my brother and Maggie. It was delicious!! I LOVE Italian. I had 3 Cheese Ravioli.. my favorite from there and I got alfredo dipping sauce for my bread sticks. If you haven't ever tried that you so should.. it's awesome! I used to work at Olive Garden my first year in college so I know allll about their food lol. It was fun though and my brother was sweet enough to pay for me.

Tomorrow I have to be in Vicksburg at my grandmother's church for our "Thanksgiving". My MawMaw and PopPop are going out of town next week and we normally spend Thanksgiving at their house. Since they will be gone we are going to their church get together so we can see them. My mom said she would cook dinner for us on Thanksgiving Day. She's not very happy about it b/c normally the holidays are the only time she can just show up and eat without having to cook. I LOVE her cooking though so I'm excited lol. A/w, I better get to bed so I don't sleep too late tomorrow.. Night!!!
